In case you were wondering, it was really awesome.  The Pillowfights and Smokejumper are both fan-fucking-tastic bands and the nicest people on Earth.  Do yourself a favor and check them out.

The Pillowfights! (the song Get Outta Here is seriously incredible)

Smokejumper! (Chris Crusher, good dude, owes us a new bench)

Some pics from it (it was a semi-formal by the way):

You missed out.

Stoned 2 the Bone…

Here is an album by a band from Portland, Oregon called “The Mean Jeans.”

If you like it: http://www.myspace.com/themeanjeans BUY IT!

They play music that sounds like The Ramones if they sang about pizza and getting drunk.  Lo-fi poppy garage-y rock stuff, and its a whole lot of fun.  Very catchy.  Check it out if you like bands like The Ramones, Nobunny, Jay Reatard, Screeching Weasel, or Municipal Waste.

I want to book them in my house.

Greed, Money, Useless Children…

Calibos is done being colored.  I’m not sure how I feel about it.  I think I got sick of it.  I still need to get the hang of this coloring shit.  Maybe I’ll re-do some stuff with it.

Here are some more drawings!

All three of these are probably going to be messed around with in Photoshop and made into t-shirt designs or something.  Especially the Moonman one.  I really like his expression.  He’s clearly better than you.

Right now I’m listening to Jay Reatard as I update this.  It’s my first time hearing him, and I love it.  I was told that because I like Nobunny so much I’d love Reatard because Nobunny rips him off.  It’s true.  Reatard also has that great garage-punk lo-fi sound that I’ve been digging a lot lately.  Reatard is far crazier than Nobunny.  While Nobunny writes songs about girls and lame stuff, Reatard screams about death and awesome things.  Reatard is a whole lot harsher than Nobunny’s stuff.  Anyways, if you like garage rock with an insane frontman check this out.
